Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Dear Patients,

Please be advised that effective Monday - May 18, 2020 all four (4) of our office locations will be re-opening to provide eye care services for our valued patients.

The health and safety of our patients and staff remain a top priority for Eye Care and Vision Associates (ECVA). With this in mind, our organization continues to closely monitor updates from health care advisors and government recommendations regarding the Coronavirus Pandemic. As we move forward, ECVA will be taking many proactive measures to help preserve the well-being of our patients and staff. We will also be adhering to infection control guidelines as provided by the Center for Disease Control (CDC).

1. Our Waiting Room seating arrangements have been reconfigured to promote social distancing.
2. Protective Shielding will be implemented at our reception desks to help mitigate the spread of germs.
3. Patients will be required to wear a surgical mask during their office visit.
4. Our office staff will be required to wear a surgical mask at all times when in the office.
5. Where  applicable; gloves, protective face shields and/or eye wear will be used by staff during the patient’s office encounter.
6. Frequent Hand Washing will be consistently emphasized by our staff.  
7. Testing Equipment, Seating Areas and Work Surfaces will be rigorously cleaned with a Disinfectant throughout the day.

As you are now aware, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) has recommended Social Distancing as an important method to help mitigate the spread of the Coronavirus. For your safety, as well as that of other patients and staff, we respectfully ask that you please adhere to the following guidelines:

1. Staff and patients are expected to remain 6 feet apart.
2. Family members or friends that accompany the patient to their doctor visit are requested to please wait in their car until the appointment is completed.
3. If you are unable to comply with the above request, we ask that only scheduled patients come back into the exam room to see the Doctor.
4. We ask that you please call to reschedule your office appointment if you:
   • You are feeling ill or experiencing flu like symptoms
   • Have a cough, sore throat or shortness of breath
   • Have experienced a fever in the last 24 hours
   • You have recently tested positive for the Coronavirus
   • You have recently been exposed to anyone with the above symptoms or has been diagnosed with the Coronavirus
   • You have you traveled within the last 14 days to a State and/or Country that is considered to have a "high infectious rate" of COVID-19

Please call our main office number at (716) 631-3937 (EYES) if you have any questions about an upcoming office appointment or need to speak with a doctor for an emergent eye care matter. Effective March 30, 2020, all 4 of our office locations will be temporarily closed until further notice until the environmental conditions improve with the Coronavirus.

Please call our main office number at (716) 631-8888 if you need to speak with a doctor for an emergent eye care matter. When our offices reopen, our team will contact you to reschedule your appointment.

So that we can mitigate the spread of infectious disease, ECVA respectfully requests that you please contact our office at (716) 631-3937 (Eyes) to reschedule your office appointment if:

1. You are feeling ill or experiencing flu like symptoms
2. Have experienced a fever in the last 24 hours
3. Have a cough, sore throat or shortness of breath
4. Been exposed to anyone with the above symptoms or has been diagnosed with the Corona Virus
5. Traveled to a region with a known transmission of the Corona Virus per the CDC website within the past 14 days.
