LASIK Surgery

LASIK (laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis) is an outpatient refractive surgery procedure used to treat nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism.

Perhaps the most appealing thing about LASIK is it’s tremendous track record. Millions upon millions of people, including athletes, actors, politicians, and other notable public figures who heavily rely on their vision have had incredibly results with the LASIK procedure – leaving them free from a life of glasses and contacts.

Like any surgery there are risks associated with LASIK surgery. Your ECVA surgeon and our surgical coordinator will sit and review those risks and answer your questions about the procedure. A good surgical outcome depends on careful evaluation of your eyes before surgery.

Your surgeon will a state-of-the-art laser technology to reshape your cornea so light is refocused more accurately on the cornea.

The WaveLight® Allegretto Wave® Eye-Q Laser was designed based on an idea that was once only imagined: a system with shortened surgery times, innovative and reliable eye-tracking, and a clear ergonomic concept.
